Meet the Precision Organics Team

Get to know the names and faces behind the Precision Organics name.

David Fritz, Owner, Partner and President

Since the early 1990’s, David Fritz began to believe in the idea that natural, organic products can perform as well or better than man-made products for equal or lower cost to the marketplace. With a growing belief and over 30 years of experience in the green industry, David honed his development and executive skills working with companies large and small. He gained expertise in innovation, strategic development and market leadership positioning in working with Safer and Ringer products, Toro agronomic products, Rainbow Treecare products and consulting with companies such as Necessary Organics and Davey Tree. As one of the two co-founders of Precision Organics, David provides the growth vision, oversight and financial management for the continuous development of the company. Over the last 6 years, Precision has had sustained growth averaging well over 50%, with some of those years greater than 90%. Recently, Precision won two industry awards – one for highest sustained growth for three years and one for the highest annual growth rate. But, as David says, the competition never rests – “leadership is always on”. Outside of work, David enjoys traveling, spending time with family and bird hunting.

John Lloyd, PhD, Owner, Partner, Vice President and CSO

Dr. John Lloyd is one of the two co-founders of Precision Organics, overseeing product development research, managing interdisciplinary research programs, and developing external partnerships with research scientists and programs. John has researched soil carbon dynamics for 20 years as an industry scientist, a research faculty member at the University of Idaho, and as a graduate student at the Ohio State University. Prior to his Ph.D., John developed extension programming at the University of Illinois, which resulted in publishing the textbook Plant Health Care for Woody Ornamentals: A Professional’s Guide to Preventing and Managing Environmental Stresses and Pests. John obtained his B.S. from the University of Wyoming, M.S. from the University of Minnesota, and Ph.D. from the Ohio State University. Outside of work, John enjoys hiking with his grandchildren.

Manuel jordan, national sales manager - corportate headquarters

Manuel Jordan serves as the National Sales Manager at Precision Organics, with over 25 years of experience working in the green industry. Manuel has previously served as President of the Minnesota Turf and Grounds Foundation (MTGF) and is an ISA Certified Arborist specializing in tree valuation, risk assessment and tree preservation practices. Manuel is additionally a member of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and the Minnesota Society of Arboriculture (MSA), where he serves as Chair of the Tree Valuation Committee. Manuel has conducted presentations for the Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association, the International Society of Arboriculture, the Minnesota Shade Tree Advisory Council, the University of Minnesota and other professional organizations. Manuel has owned his own consulting business for over 15 years and has previously collaborated with Precision Organics on several field research projects over the past 10 years and Spanish translation of C20 product information sheets. Manuel received his B.S. in Urban Forestry (1996) with Minors in Forest Resources and Economics from the University of Minnesota. Outside of work, Manuel and his family enjoy the outdoors. Manuel is a leader in the local community, taking on the role of head coach for the Mound Westonka High School boys soccer team.

dean morris, regional sales manager - Illinois / wisconsin

Dean Morris serves as the Regional Sales Manager at Precision Organics, working with distributors to support their sales and educating clients on urban soil opportunities. Prior to joining Precision Organics, Dean cultivated experience in the green industry as the regional sales representative at Clesens and in the field and supervisory roles. Dean earned a B.S. in Urban Forestry from Western Illinois University. Outside of work, Dean enjoys fishing and snowmobiling.

Tayler Ittel, Operations manager

Tayler Ittel serves as the Office Manager / Operations Assistant at Precision Organics handling bookkeeping, customer services, corporate communications, logistics, and manufacturing. Prior to joining Precision Organics, Tayler obtained her B.S. in Biology from the University of St. Thomas. Outside of work, Tayler enjoys traveling and competing in dressage.

We treated six very stressed mature bur oaks with C20. The trees were in decline with multiple dead branches, foliar chlorosis and wilting leaves. When we examined the trees the following spring, we observed that the trees had stopped dying back and all the new foliage looked vigorous. We now use C20 on many of our sites.
